Gizmo's Opening Balance — Season 2 Kicks Off

Season 2 has opened for business, the ledgers are freshly inked, and your resident goblin accountant already has line items worth flagging. Welcome to Fates Reforged: Midnight — let's see who's making deposits, and who's still deciding whether they even want an account here.

Name's Gizmo Goldscrap. Chief Ledger Officer, part-time caster, full-time keeper of every number you'd rather I didn't remember. If you're new around here — welcome to Mythic Mayhem Club, where we track your Mythic+ climb like it's a quarterly earnings report, because frankly, it is one. Rating goes up, my mood improves. Rating stalls, I start asking pointed questions in the group chat.

For the newcomers: the goal is simple — push every role as high as your keystones will carry you. There's no ceiling on ambition here, but there is a floor: Keystone Master, 2000 rating, is the minimum I'll accept before I stop side-eyeing your account. Clear that bar in all three roles and you're in good standing. Climb past it — Keystone Hero at 2500, Keystone Legend Supreme at 3000 — and now we're talking about the kind of numbers that get you a paragraph with your name in bold.

Season 2's books just opened, and I've already got opinions. Let's get into it.

Raiding

While the Mythic+ ledgers were filling up, the raid team wasn't exactly sitting on their hands either. Normal difficulty: fully cleared, books closed, no outstanding debts. Heroic: three bosses down and the guild's still climbing, which — for a Week 1 report — is a healthier balance sheet than most of you are running on your keystone accounts.

Good work in there. Keep it up, and maybe some of that raid discipline will rub off on your Mythic+ attendance. I can dream.

Guild Chatter

I'll be blunt about the state of my intelligence network: it's underfunded. Nobody's been using the Gizmo reaction when something reaction-worthy happens in Discord, which means I've been operating with a serious information gap. If Epedemik said something ridiculous Friday night — and knowing Four-Set Pete's track record, he did — I want to know about it. Click the reaction. That's literally all it takes. I run a lean operation; the least you can do is keep the tip line open.

That said, one item did cross my desk unprompted, filed under the healer chat, and I have concerns. Dravvok confessed to pugging an M8 while still sitting in delve talents, un-respecced, and asked whether the rest of you make the same mistake. Marty's response was to claim he runs Mythic+ in raiding spec on principle — calls it "a fun extra affix." Picco, ever the Guild Mom, offered to lie and say it happens to everyone, purely for morale purposes.

For the record: raiding spec in a Mythic+ pull is not an affix, Marty, it's a liability, and I've made a note of it in your file.

Weekly Scores

Week 1, and the flood gates didn't so much open as get kicked off their hinges. Keys were pulled at a pace that makes me suspect several of you didn't sleep. I appreciate the enthusiasm. My spreadsheet appreciates it slightly less.

Before I get into individual accounts, a word for the Supreme+ crew — Kara, Klara, and Rantheza are running the harder ledger this season, four roles instead of three, melee and ranged DPS kept separate like they should've been all along. I'm watching these three closely, and not just because the math is harder to fake.

Speaking of which — Kara, sit up straight. Yzarin closed the week at 3018 rating. That's not a typo, that's not "close," that's Keystone Legend territory, on the range slot, in Week 1. I don't know what you did to that mage over the off-season but keep doing it. The rest of the account isn't there yet — Dajani's healer numbers are respectable at 2117, Lorian's melee sits at 1626 — but Lorian's tank line is still reading zero, and until that changes this is a three-legged stool with one gold leg and two made of nothing. Fix the tank. You're one slot from something special.

Faerlina and Xytrixz get this week's gold stars, and I say that through gritted teeth because compliments cost me. Both of you moved all three roles in the same week. Faerlina's DPS is sitting at 2946 — a stone's throw from Keystone Legend before we've even finished Week 1 — with the tank and healer lines cracking 1400+ and 1500+ respectively. Xytrixz matched the balanced approach: dps still finding its feet at 653, but the healer's already past Keystone Heroic at 2566 and the tank's a healthy 1634. This is what "in good standing" looks like. Take notes, the rest of you.

Now. The rest of you.

Klara, I see what you did — Cement is out here pulling double shifts, 2782 on the range line and 2673 on healer, single-handedly carrying half a roster. Efficient. Also lonely. Corallna and Palarina haven't logged a single point between them, which means two-thirds of this account is still asleep. Wake them up.

Marty. My own co-founder. Asibia's healer score is a perfectly good 2842 — genuinely, well done — but the dps line and Eliarien's tank line are both sitting flat at zero. One working role out of three. And this from the man who told Dravvok that raiding spec in an M8 is "a fun extra affix." The affix is called "not being ready," Marty, and it's showing in your numbers.

Nick, welcome to the ledger — Fanzel's tank clocked in at 727, which is a start, but the dps and healer columns are bare. One out of three, same as Marty, so at least you're in decent company.

Rantheza — the melee line is moving at 1738, fine work on its own — but on a Supreme+ card that demands four roles, one active slot out of four is a rounding error I can't ignore. Leynhara hasn't even posted a score yet, and Tondrangront and Inarris are both still sitting at zero. This is the hardest version of the challenge in the club. It deserves more than a fifth of your attention.

The good news: nobody's account is a total blank this week. Everybody made at least one deposit. Some of you just need to open a few more accounts before I start writing your name in the good column across the board.

Closing Statement

Solid first week. Genuinely — books are healthy, keys are flowing, and I've already got a Week 1 headline better than most seasons manage by Week 3. Keep this pace up and I'm going to run out of sarcastic things to say, which would be a personal crisis for me.

And if you're reading this and haven't signed up yet — the account's still open. It's never too late to make your first deposit. Just log in with your Battle.net account, grab the invite code pinned in the Mythic+ channel on Discord, and you're in. Everyone's welcome. I promise to roast you the same as everyone else, no favoritism, that's just good accounting practice.

Ready. Set. Go.
